A professional conservation guide will take you on a desert safari on the Dubai Desert Conservation Drive, sharing stories about the desert’s flora and fauna and how the Bedouins once survived. Marvel at the magnificent Arabian sunset while watching a spectacular falconry show.
Start the evening with a delicious dinner of Emirati appetizers and hearty main courses. Enjoy aromatic shisha and traditional performances such as Yola and Drumming. The whole family can join in the festivities when you are invited to join in the drumming.
- Pick-up from Dubai hotels between 2:00pm and 4:30pm, depending on the season. We will inform you of the exact pick-up time around noon on the day of your desert safari.
- Arrive at Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve and receive a headscarf and stainless steel water bottle. These are included in every booking and are a gift for our guests to take home.
- 60-minute safari in a vintage Land Rover.
- Spectacular falconry display at sunset against the backdrop of an Arabian sunset.
- Arrive at an authentic torch-lit Bedouin camp where you will be warmly welcomed by the Arabs with coffee and dates.
- We invite you to a live bread baking demonstration, coffee making, camel riding and shisha smoking.
- Enjoy a four-course traditional dinner.
- Watch or take part in interactive Emirati performances, including drumming and yoli playing.
- Return to hotel between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m., depending on the season. The safari will last approximately seven hours.
Optional: We offer packages with overnight stays in a traditional stone guest room, plus, for example, a hot-air balloon flight before breakfast.
- Enjoy a peaceful sleep without any sounds or lights as the power in the camp is turned off from 11pm to 6am.
- Your room is equipped with a bed and comfortable bedding.
- Please remember to wear clothing appropriate for the weather, as the accommodations do not have air conditioning or heating.
What the price includes
- A portion of your desert safari fee is donated to local conservation efforts in Dubai.
- Pick-up from Dubai hotels is included in the price and will be in a shared, air-conditioned vehicle (unless otherwise booked). We can pick you up from the nearest hotel if you are staying in a private residence, unless a private car has been booked.
- Since the desert can be quite warm during the day all year round, we suggest bringing a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and cool, comfortable clothing. For a desert safari in the winter (November to March), we recommend bringing something warm to wear in the evening.
- Children aged 5 to 11 will be charged at child rates.
- When travelling with children under the age of five, a private car reservation is required.
- The safari includes a traditional dinner; however, please advise us of any dietary requirements or allergies when booking. We can provide vegetarian, vegan, kosher and gluten-free meals.
- There are bathrooms available on the camp grounds.
- A nature hike is not recommended for pregnant women over six months.
- Some vehicles can accommodate up to ten guests.
- To ensure the comfort of our guests, we limit the number of guests to 75-100 in our very spacious campsites.

You will be given a unique booking reference number which can be found on your voucher. The booking reference number will usually start with RT followed by the reference number.
Pick-up and drop-off is mainly from centrally located hotels and apartments. You have the option of private transport.
This largely depends on the cancellation policy of the individual attraction. Some tours are subject to third party agreements and include third party policies. This usually takes 7 business days.
