A camel safari in the desert is the most traditional way to explore the desert in Dubai. You will cross the desert in a traditional camel convoy and see why the nomadic Bedouins relied on these charming animals, known as seafaring vessels.
Your 45-minute journey through the desert follows in the footsteps of Bedouin travelers. You will learn a lot about Emirati culture at a professional falconry show. You will spend an evening in the scenery of 1950s Dubai. You will immerse yourself in the culture with fascinating activities such as henna painting, live Arabic bread and coffee making and traditional performances in our traditionally built Bedouin camp. A 4-course Arabic dinner is a delight for the palate and a magic for the eyes of this unique desert setting under the stars.

- Pick-up from Dubai hotels between 02:00 PM and 04:30 PM, depending on the season. We will inform you of the exact pick-up time around noon on the day of your desert safari.
- Arrive at Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve and receive a headscarf and stainless steel water bottle. These are included in every booking and are a gift for our guests to take home.
- Take a 45-minute camel safari through the desert
- Marvel at the spectacular falconry display at sunset against the backdrop of an Arabian sunset.
- Arrive at an authentic torch-lit Bedouin camp where you will be warmly welcomed by the Arabs with coffee and dates.
- We invite you to a live bread baking demonstration, coffee making, camel riding and shisha smoking.
- Enjoy a four-course traditional dinner.
- Watch or take part in interactive Emirati performances, including drumming and yoli playing.
- Return to hotel between 09:30 PM and 11:30 PM, depending on season. The total experience will last approximately seven hours.
- Extend your desert experience by staying overnight in a traditional Arabic stone-built living room. All amenities are provided, such as a comfortable bed, pillows, sheets and a good night’s sleep. Wake up to a gourmet breakfast.
- Enhance your experience even further by taking a spectacular sunrise balloon flight the next morning. The overnight Bedouin camp is just 15 minutes from the balloon launch site. After your flight, you will return to the camp to enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading back to the city.
We follow strict animal welfare guidelines and offer only ethical camel safaris in Dubai.

What the price includes
- A portion of your desert safari fee is donated to local conservation efforts in Dubai.
- Pick-up from Dubai hotels is included in the price and will be in a shared, air-conditioned vehicle (unless otherwise booked). We can pick you up from the nearest hotel if you are staying in a private residence, unless a private car has been booked.
- Since the desert can be quite warm during the day all year round, we suggest bringing a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and cool, comfortable clothing. For a desert safari in the winter (November to March), we recommend bringing something warm to wear in the evening.
- Children aged 5 to 11 will be charged at child rates.
- When travelling with children under five years of age, a private car reservation is required.
- The safari includes a traditional dinner; however, please advise us of any dietary requirements or allergies when booking. We can provide vegetarian, vegan, kosher and gluten-free meals.
- There are bathrooms available on the camp grounds.
- Camel safaris are not recommended for pregnant women.
- To ensure the comfort of our guests, we limit the number of guests to 75-100 in our very spacious campsites.

You will be given a unique booking reference number which can be found on your voucher. The booking reference number will usually start with RT followed by the reference number.
Pick-up and drop-off is mainly from centrally located hotels and apartments. You have the option of private transport.
This largely depends on the cancellation policy of the individual attraction. Some tours are subject to third party agreements and include third party policies. This usually takes 7 business days.
